Teaching Children To Be Leaders, For Themselves And Others

Readers in ChurchOur students are taught to be true to themselves and to stand up for what they believe in. They have many opportunities to discover what they stand for, from discussions in religion classes to mentoring and modeling appropriate behavior for their younger prayer partners. Social Justice is part of the curriculum in all religion classes and service to others is part of our everyday lives from our Catholic School Week Micro-loan projects to our middle schoolers working at our local Food Cupboard to earning money to donate to classroom mission banks.
We also focus on public speaking. Our children are always reading at a mass or a prayer service or singing in our choir or at one of our yearly music programs. Their confidence shows in how well our children perform in the yearly national civic oration contest or in Odyssey of the Mind.
